Hockey Development Officer & Coach
The Plymouth Hockey Development Group is co-ordinating the project on behalf of our local partner organisations: Which include all local clubs, SSCO partnership, College of St Mark & St John and DML Sports & Social.

As an assistant Development Officer & Coach (focus area on Primary schools and disability hockey) you will have experience of coaching young people in schools, clubs and / or other community settings. You will be qualified to a minimum of England Hockey Level 2 coaching award or equivalent ideally or will be expected to commence on starting the job.

In addition to hockey specific sessions you may be required to deliver multi-skill sessions to young people which are aimed at developing core generic skills such as balance, movement and co-ordination. Where necessary, training will be provided for this part of the role. This is alongside coaching and developing Zone Hockey for disabled and pupils with learning difficulties inside schools and the community.

You will be an excellent communicator, have a passionate and dynamic approach to coaching and have sound personal organisation skills. You will be adaptable and open minded and have a real desire and commitment to your own personal professional development.
